The park is famous for its unique "baïs", swampy forest clearings rich in minerals that attract a wide variety of wildlife from the dense surrounding jungle.
Western Lowland Gorillas - The park is a critical sanctuary for this critically endangered species, offering some of the best tracking opportunities in the wild.
Brazzaville is the capital and largest city of the Republic of the Congo. Located on the northern banks of the Congo River, it is famous for being the world's most closely situated national capital to another; it sits directly across from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Despite their proximity, the two cities are worlds apart in atmosphere—Brazzaville is known for its relatively safe, laid-back, and "small-town" vibe compared to its massive neighbor.
