Start your safari planning here!

Step 1 - Get in touch! Either pop me an email or book an appointment so I can get to know you and your travel ideas.

At first we need to determine:

  • Specific destinations you have in mind

  • Time of year you’re able to travel

  • Activities or experiences you’re interested in

  • Previous travels in Africa

  • Budget

This helps greatly in my understanding of what your expectations are.

Step 2 - Based off our conversation I will send you some itinerary options. These are broad outlines of what this trip will look like with accommodation, activities and logistics.

Step 3 - You get back to me with your favourite itinerary, and we go through any changes you’d like to make to it.

Step 4 - Deposit is paid and I confirm all bookings for the trip.

Step 5 - I help you with all preparations for the trip, documentation, visas, medical considerations, packing lists, etc

Step 6 - A month before departure date the balance must be paid.

Step 7 - You enjoy your safari! And I am on hand every step of the way if any challenges arise during your trip.

Important considerations to think about before we start planning your safari together:

  • Special occasions? Honeymoon, anniversary, vow renewal, birthday etc

  • For these special occasions or even for family or couple photos, a photographer can be arranged to accompany you and get pictures of you and your loved ones, the places you went, things you saw and experiences you had. These can be compiled into a book for keeping memories alive for years to come.

  • Are you a dedicated photographer? If so please let me know as many lodges have photography hides and specific photography vehicles and guides that can be booked ahead of time. Some also have studios for editing and printing available as well.

  • Activities - Are you wanting a relaxing safari, enjoying game drives, good food and spa treatments. Or are you or someone in your party looking for something a bit more adventurous: bush walks, kayaking, horse riding, golf, helicopter rides, fishing, scuba diving etc?

  • Do you have children accompanying you? What are their ages?

  • Does anyone in your party have mobility issues?

  • Does anyone in your party have any other disabilities or ailments? Depending on severity this could lead me to advise staying within South Africa with easy access to world class medical facilities.
